Miller Riggins,

John Malone also saw time on the mound for the Bulldogs.
"Miller gave us a good start," Samford head coach Tony David said. "He made the pitches to get out of the fifth but had a little bad luck with the wind. Sanders came in with the game tight and gave us a couple of good innings before breaking it open. Offensively, we really drove the ball well to the gaps today, leading to all the extra base hits."

UT Martin jumped on top first when Anderson hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning. Samford took control of the game with six runs in the top of the second inning, with Carr and Souders driving in two runs each, and
Jeffrey Ince and
Jackson Harris driving in one run each as Samford took a 6-1 lead.
After the Skyhawks plated two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut the lead to 6-3, Samford came back with two runs in the top of the sixth inning with Ince and
Gatlin Pitts both scoring on Skyhawk errors to push the lead to 8-3.
Samford plated five runs in the top of the seventh inning to make the score 13-3. Gupton hit a two-run homer, Carr and Souders drove in a run each, while Souders scored on an error for a 10-run Samford lead.
