GAME NOTES -- FURMAN at SAMFORD
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford men's basketball team returns to play Wednesday night as they host Furman for a red out in the Pete Hanna Center. Tip is scheduled for 6 p.m. as the Bulldogs enter the game with a 9-8 record overall and are 2-2 in Southern Conference play, while the Paladins sit at 12-5 and are 3-1 in league play.

The Samford Bulldogs return home for just their seventh home game of the season as they host Furman. The Bulldogs and Paladins are meeting for the 42nd time in series history, with Furman holding a 29-12 edge.
 In their last game, the Bulldogs fell at Chattanooga 88-79. After trailing by as many as 28 in the first half against the Mocs, the Bulldogs cut the deficit to four points late in the game before running out of time. Dylan Faulkner led Samford with 24 points on efficient 8-of-10 shooting, marking his third consecutive game with 20+ points and his eighth straight game scoring in double figures. Jadin Booth scored 23 points to surpass the 2,000-point career collegiate milestone. He played all 40 minutes and had a team-high six rebounds.
Freshman Isaiah Campbell-Finch set a new Southern Conference career high with 16 points, his second-highest scoring output of the season. The Dogs scored just five points off the bench, while Chattanooga had 36 points from its second unit. In SoCon play, Booth and Faulkner are scoring 50 points per game combined.
Furman enters the game with a 12-5 record on the season and is 3-1 in SoCon play. The Paladins are coming off a 69-48 win over VMI in their previous game. Head coach Bob Richey is in his ninth season at Furman and is coming off a 25-10 record last season. Furman was picked to finish second in the SoCon Preseason Coaches Poll. Cooper Bowser and Tom House were all named Preseason All-Conference Players, but it is freshman Alex Wilkins who leads the Paladins in scoring with 16.9 points per game.
