Bulldogs Wrap Up Three-Game Homestand Against Terriers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford men's basketball team faces Wofford on Wednesday night in Southern Conference play. The game is set to tip at 6 p.m. as the Bulldogs enter the game with a 13-12 record while Wofford enters the game with a 17-8 mark on the year.

Samford and Wofford are meeting for the 35th time, with Wofford leading the all-time series 24-10. The Terriers defeated the Dogs 88-78 when the sides met earlier this season. The Bulldogs are on a three-game winning streak in the conference after defeating Western Carolina, The Citadel, and Mercer.

Samford is coming off a 69-49 win over Mercer on Saturday. The Bulldogs held Mercer to a season-low in points, 49, as the Bears shot just 27 percent from the field and 24 percent from three. Jadin Booth led the Bulldogs with 28 points, going 6-of-9 from the floor and 14-of-14 from the free-throw line. Isaiah Campbell-Finch is averaging double-figures over the past three games, shooting 12-for-19 from the field and playing 27 minutes a game. Dylan Faulkner recorded his fifth double-double of the season. Going 8-of-12 from the floor, scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. 

The Dogs are in a tie for fifth in the conference and face a Wofford side that sits in second place. Samford and Wofford feature the top two scoring duos in the league as Booth and Faulkner combine to score 38 points per game while Wofford's Nils Machowski and Kahmare Holmes average 35.7 ppg.

Wofford enters the game with a 17-8 record on the season and is 9-3 in SoCon play. The Terriers are coming off a 77-66 victory against Western Carolina in their last game. Wofford is second in the SoCon, one game behind ETSU. Head coach Kevin Giltner is in his first season at Wofford after being an assistant for coach Mike Young. Wofford was picked to finish 9th in the SoCon Preseason Coaches Poll. They are led by Kahmare Holmes, who averages 19 ppg and scored 36 points when the teams met earlier this season.

Keaton Norris steers the offense with a top-10 national assist/turnover ratio (3.65). Booth is chasing program history, needing 33 more triples to surpass J. Robert Merritt's single-season mark of 120.

Wofford enters the game with a 17-8 record on the season and is 9-3 in SoCon play. The Terriers are coming off a 77-66 victory against Western Carolina in their last game.
