MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Samford men's and women's track and field teams opened the 2026 outdoor season by competing in the Montevallo Falcon Classic Friday and Saturday.
On the women's side,
JT Shaw won the hammer throw (46.36m), the shot put (13.15m) and the discus (45.60m). In the long jump,
Ellison Chadwick won the event (6.09m), while
Kyndall Brundidge came in second (5.66m).
For the men's team,
Bryce Davis won the hammer throw (51.94m), while finishing second in the shot put (15.80m) and third in the discus (46.10m).
Caleb Yeary came in second in the 100 meters (10.65).
The Bulldogs will next compete in the UAB Open, March 27-28.
