BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford track and field teams competed at two separate meets this weekend and record-setting performances highlighted the two meets.
At the Tom Jones Memorial, hosted by the University of Florida, sophomore
Bradley Franklin continued his impressive season. Franklin set a school record and tied for the fastest time in the world this season in the men's 110-meter hurdles, taking first place with a time of 13.07 seconds.
At Georgia Tech, junior
Carl Henry had a record-setting performance in the men's shot put. Henry broke the Samford record with a distance of 16.51 meters.
Next up, Samford will host the Josh Reidinger Invitational on Friday, April 24, on the Cameron Bean Track and Shauna Yelton Field.
