PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Samford junior
Grace Engel continued her stellar play and is tied for second, while the Bulldogs are tied for fourth after the second round of the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge held Tuesday at Caledonia Golf and Fish Club (Par 71, 6,082 yards).
As a team, Samford has a two-round score of 19-over-par 587 (295-292) to sit in a tie for fourth in the 19-team field. Middle Tennessee now leads the field with a two-day score of 579 (289-290).
Individually for Samford, Engel shot a one-over-par 72 on Tuesday for a two-day score of two-under-par 140 (68-72) to tie for second in the 100-player field. Gabi Nistro is tied for 16
th at 147 (74-73), while
Anika Richards (76-74) and
Kate Joyner (77-73) are both tied for 36
th with identical scores of 150.
Morgan Franklin is tied for 96
th at 174 (85-89).
