One of the top high school athletes from the state of Alabama in any sport . . . comes from an extremely athletic family . . . polished left-handed hitter.
 
2018 (Junior):  Named a Southern Conference Preseason Second-Team performer in a vote taken by the league’s head coaches.
 
2017 (Sophomore):  Named to the SoCon All-Tournament Team after hitting .500 during the week with three RBI, two runs scored, a double and a stolen base . . . earned Second-Team All-SoCon honors . . . registered a .385 batting average in SoCon play . . . posted a .446 average in his last 20 games with 29 hits, 17 runs and 13 RBI . . . finished the season with a .313 batting average, four home runs, 31 RBI and 33 runs scored . . . earned playing time in 58 of the team’s 59 games on the season and started in 57 contests at second base . . . played a key role in the Bulldogs finishing the season ranked first in the SoCon in fielding double plays with 48 . . . notched six doubles and a triple . . . finished the season 7-for-9 in stolen-base attempts . . . turned in a four-RBI game at Alabama on March 15, as he went 2-for-3 at the plate and added a home runs and a pair of runs scored . . . earned his second varsity letter.
 
2016 (Freshman):  Earned playing time in 32 of the team’s 61 games and started in 11 contests for the Bulldogs . . . finished the season with 13 runs scored and eight RBI . . . blasted a home run and earned eight bases on balls . . . earned his first varsity letter.
 
High School:  Starred at UMS Wright in Mobile, Ala., where he proved to be one of the best athletes in the state . . . a two-sport star, he also finished his prep career extremely decorated in football . . . the all-time leading rusher at UMS Wright on the football field, he consistently closed out seasons rushing for over 2,000 yards . . . ended his high school baseball career as the No. 1-ranked second baseman in Alabama . . . hits from the left side with power . . . participated in the prestigious East Coast Pro Showcase which included the top high school players on the east coast.
 
Personal:  Son of Tyrone and Tanya Dixon . . . his father played baseball at South Alabama . . . older brother, T.J., was a teammate on Samford’s roster for two seasons before being drafted by the Minnesota Twins . . . majoring in public administration.
