2018 FIRST-TEAM ALL-SOUTHERN CONFERENCE PRESEASON SELECTION
 
2018 (Senior):  Named a Southern Conference Preseason First-Team performer in a vote taken by the league’s head coaches.
 
2017 (Junior):  Proved to be the Bulldogs’ top starter throughout the season . . . compiled a 5-3 record on 15 appearances and made 11 starts . . . notched a stellar 2.69 earned run average . . . logged 63.2 innings on the year, which ranked second on the team . . . tallied 59 strikeouts, which ranked second on the team . . . finished the season ranked fourth in the Southern Conference in both earned run average (2.26) and lowest opposing batting average (.219) . . . played a key role in the Bulldogs finishing the season ranked first in the SoCon in earned run average (4.35), fewest runs allowed (288), fewest doubles allowed (73), opposing batting average (.247), fewest earned runs allowed (231) and fewest hits allowed (439) . . . shined in a key 8-3 home victory against Western Carolina as he didn’t allow a single run in the contest and hurled six shutout innings for the Bulldogs . . . earned his second varsity letter.
 
2016 (Sophomore):  Finished the season with nine appearances and a 1-0 record on the mound . . . earned 8.2 innings of action and notched four strikeouts . . . earned his first varsity letter.
 
2015 (Freshman):  Didn’t see much action for the Bulldogs.
 
2014 (Redshirt):  Redshirted.
 
High School:  Prepped at Brentwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn. . . . holds the school record for career wins . . . earned all-district and all-region honors in both baseball and basketball . . . member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society for academic achievement.
 
Personal:  Born July 8, 1994 . . . son of Tom and Lisa Shelton . . . majoring in nursing.
