2017 (Freshman):  Earned Southern Conference All-Freshman Team honors . . . led the SoCon in throwing out potential base-stealers with 27 . . . earned game action in 50 of the team’s 59 contests and started in 47 outings at catcher . . . turned in a .255 batting average and added 27 RBI and 23 runs scored . . . powered four home runs, seven doubles and a triple . . . played a key role in the Bulldogs finishing the season ranked first in the SoCon in earned run average (4.35), fewest runs allowed (288), fewest doubles allowed (73), opposing batting average (.247), fewest earned runs allowed (231) and fewest hits allowed (439) . . . proved to be the main reason that Samford finished first in the conference in opponents caught stealing by with 30 . . . closed out the season ranked sixth in the SoCon in being hit by pitch (9) . . . finished the year ranked fourth in the conference with three pickoffs . . . with two outs in the bottom of the ninth against The Citadel on April 13, he roped a game-winning double to left-center field for a thrilling walk-off SoCon victory . . . earned his first varsity letter.
