Samford University Athletics

Carrie Parker begins her first year as Samford[apos]s Director of Marketing. Parker has worked as the assistant director of ticket operations at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) since July 2003. Among her responsibilities in her previous position were to oversee game-day ticket sales and operations, and coordinating the distribution of tickets for road games. She also served as the game-day administrator for men[apos]s soccer and softball, and she assisted the marketing department with the development of new promotional ideas. Prior to working in the UAB ticket office, Parker worked as a sports marketing graduate assistant for the Blazers from July 2002 to July 2003. She served as the marketing manager for men[apos]s and women[apos]s soccer, and assisted in the marketing of the men[apos]s basketball team. Parker is a 2002 graduate of UAB. She currently resides in Homewood.
