BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford University basketball programs held the inaugural Monday Madness, Monday evening in the Samford cafeteria.
The event was held to promote the school's basketball programs on campus. The head coaches of Samford's two teams spoke to the crowd in the packed cafeteria, as did director of athletics Martin Newton.
A regulation, 10-foot basketball goal was brought into the cafeteria for the event. Players from both teams, along with other Samford students, competed in shooting contests and a dunk contest.
