FINAL RESULTS
GREENVILLE, S.C.— The Samford men's golf team wrapped up play in the Furman Intercollegiate, placing 16
th in the event, held Friday through Sunday at the Furman University Golf Course.
Samford shot a three-round total of 877 (297-289-291) to place 16
th in the 19-team field. Georgia State won the event, firing a three-day score of 841 (285-275-281). Harvard placed second in the tournament with a score of 856 (284-280-292).
Individually, Samford was once again led by senior
Zach Hughes with an even-par score of 216 (72-72-72). Freshmen
Aaron Walker (74-72-75) and
Crawford Flach (78-72-71) both tied for 54
th with identical scores of 221.

Zach Hughes was steady for us again," Samford head coach
Al DelGreco said. "Everyone played better with each round, but I am disappointed in our finish. We did improve certain areas of our game. We continue to make too many mental errors, but that is part of the learning process, especially for our freshmen."
Junior
Austin Jackson tied for 64
th in the tournament, finishing with a score of 223 (75-73-75). Freshman
Jackson Seawell placed in a tie for 87
th at 227 (76-78-73).
Ryan Cornfield of USC Upstate earned individual medalist honors, finishing with a final score of 203 (70-64-69). Andrew Novak of Wofford placed second at 206 (67-70-69).
"Our competitiveness is getting better and will be a big factor next week in Nashville," DelGreco said. "The Mason Rudolph will be our last event before the Southern Conference Tournament."
Samford will return to action on April 2 and 3, when the Bulldogs travel to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt.
