MOBILE, Ala. – The Samford men's golf team sits in sixth place after the first two rounds of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, held Monday at Magnolia Grove.
As a team, Samford fired a two-round score of seven-over-par 575 (281-294), placing sixth in the 13-team field. South Alabama leads the field with a score of 549 (272-277).
Individually for Samford's playing five,
Gavin Isbell is tied for 15
th in the 81-player field with an even-par 142 (68-74).
Jack Mikesell is tied for 24
th at 143 (70-73).
Blake Gayles is tied for 31
st with a score of 144 (70-74), while
Matthew Smith is tied for 51
st at 149 (73-76).
Nolen Wolfe is tied for 57
th with a two-round score of 150 (77-73).
Tiaan Hugo, playing as an individual and his score not counting toward the team total, is tied for 39
th at 146 (74-72).
