2018-19 SAMFORD MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Games at Ohio State and Tennessee, a challenging non-conference home slate and the always-tough Southern Conference schedule highlight the Samford men's basketball team's 2018-19 schedule, released by head coach Scott Padgett Wednesday.
 
Samford will open its season with four-straight home games, with three coming against in-state opponents. The Bulldogs will play host to North Alabama (Nov. 6), Jacksonville State (Nov. 9), Kennesaw State (Nov. 12) and Miles College (Nov. 14) to open the season.
 
After a trip to Cleveland State Nov. 18, the Bulldogs will play at Big 10 power Ohio State Nov. 20. Samford will wrap up its road swing with a game at IPFW Nov. 23.
 
Samford will then host South Carolina State Nov. 25 and Belmont Nov. 29. After a road trip to Alabama A&M Dec. 9, the Bulldogs will host Morehead State Dec. 13 and Houston Baptist Dec. 17.
 
Samford will wrap up its non-conference schedule with a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. The contest is scheduled for Dec. 19.
 
The Bulldogs will open SoCon play by hosting UNCG (Dec. 22) and VMI (Dec. 29). The team will then play three in a row on the road, playing at ETSU (Jan. 3), Western Carolina (Jan. 5) and Chattanooga (Jan. 12).
 
Samford will then host The Citadel (Jan. 17) and Mercer (Jan. 19), followed by road games at Wofford (Jan. 24) and Furman (Jan. 26). Home games against ETSU (Jan. 31) and Western Carolina (Feb. 2) are next, followed by road trips to UNCG (Feb. 7) and VMI (Feb. 9).
 
The Bulldogs will then host Chattanooga (Feb. 16), and the team will then go back on the road for games at Mercer (Feb. 21) and The Citadel (Feb. 23). Samford will wrap up its regular season with home games against Furman (Feb. 28) and Wofford (Mar. 2).
 
The 2019 Southern Conference Tournament will be held Mar. 8-11 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, N.C.
