HOW IT HAPPENED
- Troy plated a run in the first inning and another in the third to take a 2-0 lead.
- Samford took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when Tyler McManus hit a three-run home run to left field to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 advantage.
- Troy knotted the score at 3-3 when Caleb Bartolero hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the ninth inning.
- In the bottom of the ninth inning, David singled to lead off the inning and then moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Taylor Garris. Max Pinto then singled, moving David to third base. Howe then singled to left field, driving in David for the 4-3 Samford win.

- McManus homered, driving in three runs in a 1-for-2 performance.
