GAME NOTES--SAMFORD AT WOFFORD (PDF)
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford men's basketball team (11-4, 1-2 SoCon) will travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to take on the Wofford Terriers (9-7, 1-3 SoCon) Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. (CT) at Richardson Indoor Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Jim Noble (PBP) and Thom Henson (Color) calling the action. Live stats will also be available at www.WoffordTerriers.com.
- Samford and Wofford are meeting for the 26th time, with Wofford owning a 20-5 series lead. The teams met just once last season, with the Terriers taking a 94-84 win in Spartanburg, S.C. The second meeting of last season was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.
- The Bulldogs are coming into the game off an 85-60 victory over Western Carolina Saturday afternoon. Samford was led in the win by Jermaine Marshall with his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Wesley Cardet was the team's leading scorer with 18 points. Ques Glover had 16 points and five assists for the Bulldogs. As a team, Samford shot 50 percent from the floor, while holding Western Carolina to just 33.9 percent. The Bulldogs outrebounded the Catamounts, 46-32.
- Samford has been led in scoring so far this season by sophomore guard Ques Glover, who ranks second in the Southern Conference with an average of 19.3 points per game. Glover leads the SoCon in free throw percentage (.884) and assists (4.4 apg.). Jermaine Marshall leads the league in rebounding, grabbing 9.0 boards per contest.
- Wofford has a mark of 9-7 overall and 1-3 in Southern Conference play. The Terriers are coming off a 58-54 loss at UNCG Monday evening.

- Ques Glover (6-0, 180, So.) has made a remarkable impact on the Bulldogs so far this year, ranking No. 2 the SoCon in scoring at 19.3 points per game while ranking second in the SoCon in assists at 4.4 per game. The Knoxville, Tenn., native, scored 16 points and dished out five assists in Saturday's win over Western Carolina.
- Jaden Campbell (6-5, 195, Soph.) has been a major spark for the Bulldogs, averaging 10.5 points per game, ranking 24th in the Southern Conference. The Brampton, Ontario native scored a career-high 19 points versus McNeese State.
- Wesley Cardet, Jr. (6-6, 205, Fr.), one of the nation's most sought after recruits, continues to develop his game in advance of Southern Conference play. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native is averaging 9.2 points, and 4.1 rebounds per game. He led the team with 18 points Saturday against Western Carolina. Cardet was the No. 60 ranked player in the nation and No. 13 at his position by Rivals at West Oaks.
- Jacob Tryon (6-11, 220, Sr.) has continued to be a presence down low for Samford this season. Tryon currently ranks fifth in the Southern Conference in blocked shots per game, averaging 1.4 per contest.
- After Wednesday night's game at Wofford, Samford will return home to host the ETSU Bucs Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center. ETSU was picked to finish third in the SoCon in the preseason coaches' poll, and fifth in the preseason media poll. Samford was picked to finish eighth by the coaches and ninth by the media.
