BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Head Men's Basketball Coach Bucky McMillan announced on Wednesday the signing of Lukas Walls to the 2023 recruiting class.
 
A 6-4, 190-pound shooting guard, Wells will join the Bulldogs from Webb School of Knoxville in Knoxville, Tenn. In his most recent season with his AAU team Pro One Basketball, Walls averaged 16.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and shot 64 percent from the field. 

"We are extremely excited to have Lukas Walls join our Samford Basketball family," McMillan said. "He embodies everything we want in a Samford Bulldog: hard-working, unselfish, and fearless. Lukas is a true student-athlete who excels on the court and in the classroom. He has been well prepared to compete at a high level by his high school coach Ricky Norris and comes from a great family. Samford fans will enjoy watching Lukas play as he fits extremely well with our style of basketball."
