BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford Football Program held its annual preseason on-campus Media Day and Punt, Pass, Kick Competition on Thursday at Seibert Stadium.
After finishing runner-up in the 2021 edition, NBC 13's Ryan Hennessy claimed the 2022 Media PPK title in dramatic fashion over ABC 33/40's Johnny Congdon 144-106 in the finals. Defending champion Curt Bloom, who handles play-by-play duties for Samford's ESPN+ broadcast, finished third with a score of 122.
Each contestant had three chances at each segment of the competition, with their highest total in each category counting toward their total score.
