BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's golf team opened its spring season with a dual match with UAB, earning a 319-320 win over the Blazers Saturday at Hoover Country Club (Par 72, 6,019 yards).
 
Bailey Dunstan led Samford with a four-over-par 76. Kelley Topiwala fired an 80, while Christian Williams turned in a score of 81. Kate Joyner fired a round of 82, while Sophie Membrino shot an 83.

Samford will next compete in the Oyster Shuck Match Play, hosted by The Citadel, Feb. 13-14 in Charleston, S.C.
