BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford Baseball Head Coach Tony David Announced on Wednesday a partnership with Marucci to serve as the official equipment provider of the program.
"We are excited about this partnership with Marucci for the continued growth of our baseball program," Coach David said. "The Marucci brand is one of if not THE standard bearer for the sport of baseball and continues to expand more and more with that standard. It's a great opportunity to make sure our players are set up with the best baseball gear and equipment to give us the greatest advantage we can as we train and compete. I appreciate Marucci working so well with us to help make this happen."
The Bulldogs will continue to partner with Nike for their apparel needs.
"As a baseball program at this level, it doesn't get any better than Marucci and Nike," Coach David said. "We will continue that outstanding partnership with Nike as well with our uniforms, apparel, and all footwear. We will be proud representatives of both incredible companies."
Based in Baton Rouge, Marucci was founded by two former Big Leaguers and their athletic trainer who began handcrafting bats for some of the best players in the game from their garage in 2004. Fast forward to today, that dedication to quality and understanding of players' needs has turned Marucci into an All-American success story. Today, Marucci is the Number One bat in Major League Baseball.
