LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior pitcher Jacob Cravey of the Samford Baseball Team has been named to the watchlist for the 2023 College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Year Award.
The Andalusia, Ala. native boasts a record of 6-1 in 10 starts for the Bulldogs this season with a 3.47 earned run average. Cravey, who is holding opposing hitters to a .216 average on the year, leads the Southern Conference with 80 strikeouts and 35 strikeouts looking.
Cravey is one of three SoCon pitchers making an appearance on the list, joined by The Citadel's Cameron Reeves and Wofford's Lucas Mahlstedt.
The award will be presented later this year by the College Baseball Foundation.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Tuesday, April 25 against the University of Alabama at 6:00 p.m. (CST) from Tuscaloosa.
