GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Samford men's golf team remains in eighth place after the first two rounds of the 2023 Southern Conference Championship, played Sunday and Monday at the Oconee Course at Reynolds Plantation (Par 72, 7,393 yards).
The Bulldogs have a two-round team score of 589 (294-295), placing eighth in the event. ETSU remains in first place with a total score of 555 (274-281), while Chattanooga sits in second place at 556 (277-279).
Andrew Sullivan leads all Samford players with a two-round score of 145 (73-72), tying him for 19
th in the 40-player field.
Brian Boles (69-78) and
Davis Woodliff (75-72) are both tied for 23
rd at 147.
Matthew Smith is tied for 34
th at 151 (77-74).
Damin Strydom, who was the substitute player in the first round, was inserted into the playing five for the second round at fired a 77, placing him 40
th.
