CARY, N.C. – Tayor Kuehn, a signee for the Samford men's golf program, earned individual medalist honors at the 74
th Carolinas Junior Boys Championship, held this week at the Prestonwood Country Club.
Kuehn started with a first-round score of even-par 72. He then fired a 69 in the second round and then wrapped up the tournament with an impressive seven-under-par 65. His tournament total of 10-under-par 206 narrowly beat out Luke Mosley and Jack Wieler with identical scores of 207.
Kuehn, a native of Asheville, N.C., signed with Samford back in November out of Christ School in Arden, N.C. He helped lead his team to four first-place finishes during the spring 2023 season. Kuehn will join the Samford men's golf team for the fall 2023 season as a freshman.
