SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford freshman Taylor Kuehn was named the Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week when the league released its weekly men's golf award Wednesday afternoon.
 
Kuehn placed fourth in the 90-player field at the Wexford Intercollegiate earlier this week. He finished with a three-round score of one-over-par 217 (71-73-73) to lead Samford to a fourth-place finish in the 18-team tournament.
 
For the season, Kuehn has averaged a team-best 72.83 in 18 rounds of golf. This marks the first top 10 finish of his career.
 
Samford will next play in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational, Mar. 4-5, in Aiken, S.C.
