PITTSBURG, Tenn. – The Samford men's golf team posted a record of 1-1-1 in three match play rounds at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate, held Monday and Tuesday.
In the first round, Samford battled Belmont, tying 3-3.
Matthew Smith,
Taylor Kuehn and
Andrew Sullivan all earned wins for Samford in the match with the Bruins.
Samford's second round matchup came against Bowling Green, with Samford winning, 4-1-1.
Davis Woodliff,
Damin Strydom,
Craig Sanders and Sullivan picked up wins as the Bulldogs defeated the Falcons.
In the final round, Samford fell to South Dakota State, 5-1. Samford's lone win in the match came by Smith.
Samford will next play in the TSU Intercollegiate, April 8-9, in Nashville, Tenn.
