GAME NOTES -- SAMFORD at CHATTANOOGAÂ (PDF)
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Samford men's basketball team continues play in Southern Conference play tomorrow as they hit the road to Chattanooga. The game tips at 6 p.m. as the Bulldogs enter the game with a 15-4 record overall and 5-1 in SoCon play while the Mocs are 12-7 on the year.
The Samford Bulldogs are coming off a 65-60 defeat against ETSU in their last game. The defeat at home marks the first time in 28 games and over a calender year that Bulldogs lost a game in the Pete Hanna Center who carried the second-longest home winning streak in the nation.Â
The meeting between the Bulldogs and the Mocs is the 113th meeting all-time with the two sides splitting the last 10 games evenly in the matchup. The 60 points scored by Samford in their last game, was the lowest amount they have scored since their season opener at Purdue last season. The Bulldogs average 11.2 three-pointers per game which is fifth in the nation, but have combined for just 12 in their past two games.
Samford sits 101st in the NET rankings, two spots behind UNCG who they defeated 76-69 on Jan. 11. Samford is 4th in the country in caused turnovers forced per game at 17.2.Â
Rylan Jones is 23rd in assists with 110, while as a team they are 14th in the country in assists per game, averaging 17.7.

Jaden Brownell lead the Dogs in scoring as each scores over 14 points per game.
Chattanooga enters the game with a 12-7 record on the season and sits at 4-2 in SoCon play. The Mocs have won three league games in a row, including a 75-71 victory at Furman in their last game. Head coach Dan Earl is in his third season as head coach of Chattanooga after spending seven seasons at VMI. Chattanooga was picked to finish second in the Preseason SoCon poll, receiving two first-place votes. The Mocs had Trey Bonham and Honor Huff named to the All-SoCon preseason team. Bonham, Huff, and Bash Wieland lead the Mocs in scoring as the trio all averages 13 ppg.
