GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Samford men's golf team finished sixth at the Southern Conference Championship, played Sunday through Tuesday at Reynolds Lake Oconee (Par 72, 7,393 yards).
The team finished with a three-round score of three-under-par 861 (289-288-284) to finish sixth in the eight-team field. ETSU won the event with a final score of 836 (280-282-274).
Garrison Guthrie led Samford's playing five, tying for seventh in the 40-player field after shooting a four-under-par 68 on the final day for a final score of six-under-par 210 (71-71-68).
Matthew Smith tied for 14
th at 214 (74-68-72), while
Gavin Isbell tied for 24
th with a score of 218 (72-74-72).
Tiaan Hugo tied for 28
th with a score of 219 (72-75-72), while
Damin Strydom placed 37
th at 232 (74-77-81).
