AIKEN, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team placed 12^th at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, hosted by USC Aiken Monday and Tuesday.
 
Samford finished with a three-round score of 32-over-par 872 (291-289-292) to place 12^th in the 15-team field. Campbell won the event with a final score of 830 (278-277-275).
 
Individually for Samford, Gavin Isbell tied for 27^th out of 75 golfers with a three-round total of six-over-par 216 (70-72-74). Tiaan Hugo tied for 34^th with a score of 217 (74-73-70), while Jack Mikesell tied for 42^nd at 219 (72-72-75). Blake Gayles tied for 49^th with a score of 221 (75-72-74), while Matthew Smith tied for 58^th at 227 (76-77-74).
 
Samford will next compete in the Peoples Golf Championship at Sea Palms Resort, Mar. 12-14.
