HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team placed ninth at the Wexford Intercollegiate, held Monday and Tuesday at the Wexford Golf Club.
Samford finished the tournament with a three-round team score of 28-over-par 892 (297-295-300) to finish ninth in the 18-team field. College of Charleston won the event with a final score of 864 (284-283-297).
Individually for Samford,
Gavin Isbell tied for ninth in the 90-player field with a three-round score of even-par 216 (74-69-73).
Campbell Sciortino tied for 14
th with a final score of 218 (69-74-75), while
Jack Mikesell tied for 48
th at 227 (74-76-77).
Nolen Wolfe finished in a tie for 67
th with a score of 233 (80-78-75), while
Tiaan Hugo tied for 74
th at 235 (81-76-78).
Next up, Samford will compete in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational, March 9-10.
