BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford men's basketball team has the Southern Conference portion of its schedule set as the conference office released the 2025-26 slate for all ten teams within the league. The Bulldogs have an 18-game SoCon schedule with a home-and-home series against the nine league opponents.
The Dog's first game in conference play sees them head to VMI on January 1 to face the Keydets, followed by a game at UNCG two days later. Samford returns to Birmingham for their conference home opener against Western Carolina on Jan. 7. After their home game, the Bulldogs face a difficult stretch at Chattanooga, home against Furman and ETSU, at Wofford, the return home game against the Mocs, and at Furman, which marks the halfway point of the schedule.Â
Samford closes with home games against VMI and UNCG on Feb. 26 and 28. The Bulldogs are coming off a 22-11 season where they went 12-6 in SoCon play, good for fourth place in the league. The new look Bulldogs had 12 newcomers come to Samford in the offseason, along with a new staff led by head coach Lennie Acuff.
