Those in attendance will have the chance to compete in competitions like the skills contest, knockout, and the student dunk contest. Food will be provided, and prizes for winners of events and a grand prize for the raffle winner at the end of the event. Fans will be able to meet players from both teams after the event for autographs and pictures.
The Samford men's basketball team has 13 newcomers and a new staff led by new head coach Lennie Acuff, leading into the 2025-26 season. They will compete in the Ballin in Boutwell exhibition game against Alabama A&M on Oct. 13. Tickets for the event can be found here. The Dogs home opener is on Nov. 7 as they host South Carolina State.
The Bulldog women's team is under the leadership of new head coach Matt Wise and has seven newcomers to the squad for the upcoming season. Samford opens their season on Nov. 3 at home against Montevallo, and their non-conference slate features games at Nebraska, Florida, Alabama, Minnesota, and Mississippi State.
