SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford sophomore Gavin Isbell was named to the All-SoCon team when the Southern Conference announced its postseason men's golf awards on Tuesday.
 
Isbell led the team and ranked second in the Southern Conference with a 70.72 stroke average over 32 rounds of golf. He posted seven top-10 finishes during the season, including three top-five finishes.
 
Isbell shot a low round of 66 for the season, in both the Turtle Point Invitational and the Peoples Golf Championship. His best finish of the season was second place in both the Florida Atlantic Invitational and the Peoples Golf Championship.
