WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team sits in eighth place after the second round of the Southern Conference Championship, held Tuesday at the Solina Golf Club.
 
As a team, Samford has a two-round score of 20-over-par of 588 (283-305) to place eighth. Chattanooga leads the event with a score of 565 (275-290).
 
Individually for Samford, Gavin Isbell is tied for sixth in the 40-player field with a two-round total of one-under-par 141 (68-73). Campbell Sciortino is tied for 14^th at 145 (68-77), while Blake Gayles is tied for 20^th with a score of 146 (72-74). Jack Mikesell is tied for 36^th at 157 (75-82), while Matthew Smith sits in 39^th at 160 (79-81).
