High School: Prepped at Spanish Fort High School . . . named All-State in 2009 and 2010 . . . named 2010 5A MVP and Hitter of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association . . . named his team’s MVP and Hitter of the Year in 2010 . . . named his team’s Pitcher of the Year in 2009 . . . named school’s Outstanding Male Athlete in 2010.
