SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford freshman
Kaylee Yarbrough was named the Southern Conference Player of the Week when the league released its weekly women's basketball awards Tuesday afternoon.
This is the second time Yarbrough has received this honor, she was previously awarded the title the week of December 16
th.
In Samford's last six games, Yarbrough has led her team in scoring. Most recently in their last two games against UAB and Mississippi State she had a combined 27 points.
For the season, Yarbrough is averaging a team-high 13 points per game. She has made 41 percent of her shots from the floor and 74.2 percent of her free-throw attempts.
Samford will return home to play host to Fisk University on Friday, Jan. 2. The game is set for a 2 p.m. start from the Pete Hanna Center.
